Salami Netting
Salami netting is a specialist product made specifically for the use in salami and cured meats production. The sausage net is made from a durable cotton elastic and helps keep your meat tightly compacted throughout the drying and curing phase.
By keeping the meat held-in, tight it helps to eliminate any air pockets from forming within the casing. As your produce shrinks so will the meat netting, maintaining a constant pressure until curing has completed.
This specialist netting comes straight from Italian manufacturers who maintain high quality control systems in place. Salami netting can be easily applied to meats when used in conjunction with our netting tubes. There is the right size netting tube to suit each size of netting. A helpful table can be seen when purchasing a netting tube, with the recommended size to use with each different size netting.
This meat netting in sizes #18 and larger can also be used for preparing meats and other foods for roasting, boiling and smoking as well as maturing. Chicken, ham, beef, pork and lamb can all be spiced, rolled and netted to keep a nice tight shape throughout the cooking method you choose. This meat netting is ideal to apply to your roasts to keep them in place over the cooking and drying period.
Salami Twine
Salami twine is a specialised twine used in fresh sausage, salami and cured meats production. This a food grade string made professionally in Italy for all of your food processing needs.
The cord is surrounded by a protective coating that prevents the casings from tearing when pulled tightly. This also aids in minimising your hands from being cut due to repetitive tying tightly. This quality string can be pulled tight without fear of constant rupturing of casings be it natural casing or man made in type.
The twine comes in a number of sizes and colours, some call it butcher's twine as it is very easy to use for manually tying roasts and tying meats for hanging and drying. The variety economy pack comes in a handy bag of 4 different colours at the price of 3. Great to use if you have to differentiate different salami all hanging in the same chamber or curing space. The small rolls are available in handy to use spindles. These spindles are very easy to guide around the ends and sides of your meats. There are economy packs of the white spindles also - one for each friend who wants to help you on salami making day!
Large rolls come in dense rolls, great value for money in red and white, with extra large rolls available too. Even elastic string is available.
