This fibrous collagen salami casing is used for making air dried, smoked and cured salami. This casing is ideal for producing small, picnic sized salami as it will shrink when drying, it can also be used for product that require a quick curing time (curing times will depend on your curing conditions – See our Secrets in Salami book for more in depth information on curing environments and temperatures)
This salami casing is manufactured from a manmade, edible collagen (food and digestive safe) and contains NO animal products.
Each individual casing comes pre-tied at one end for easy filling and read for hanging. These casings are also flavourless and can be easily stored in a standard food safe container.
Salami making couldn’t be any easier when using these casings.

Directions for use
Submerse each casing in cool water or wine until soft, slide the casing on to your filling funnel ready to fill.
